In response to the success of the first six-book EDGAR & ELLEN series, Star Farm Prods. has signed a deal with Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing for an entirely new six-book series, two graphic novels, a pop-up and a how-to book. The how-to book, entitled THE MISCHIEF MANUAL, is written in the voice of the mischief-makers themselves and is in stores this month.
"Fans are writing into www.edgarandellen.com through e-mails and blogs asking for more books," says Colleen Fahey, svp of audience development at Star Farm Prods. "We're thrilled that the audience for these wonderful wicked books continues to grow and that kids are recommending them to one another through the EDGAR & ELLEN online community."
An upcoming EDGAR & ELLEN TV series (26x22 or 52x11) is set to air in the fall on Nicktoons Network in the U.S. and on YTV in Canada.
Star Farm has signed deals for EDGAR & ELLEN books in 69 countries and for a TV series in 15 countries. The books are written by Charles Ogden and are illustrated by Rick Carton.
