Snow descends upon the eternal summerland of the cul-de-sac in the new, half-hour HOLIDAY SPECIAL ED, EDD N EDDY'S JINGLE, JINGLE, JANGLE, airing Dec. 3, 2004, at 8:00 pm on Cartoon Network.
Eddy snoops around and discovers that all his soon-to-be Christmas gifts are socks, underwear and other clunkers. To better his take, Eddy decides to get himself adopted into all of his friends' families, to siphon off their Christmas payload. Eddy comes to learn about how his friends celebrate the holiday, while his best friends, Ed and Double-D, try to convince him that Christmas is about spreading cheer more than greed.
This colorful, funny mix of well-known holiday cartoon Xmas themes by creator Danny Antonucci and his elves at aka Cartoons in Vancouver plays out the 2D medium to its imaginative best, starting with the opening credits nicely incorporated into the snowy backgrounds. Its full of rebellious humor the series and Antonucci have become known for, with high-volume sounds and takes that can jangle the viewer. Not for softhearted family viewing, this is adult primetime special with a sentimental twist thats not too saccharine for naughty-boy fans.
ED, EDD N EDDY is about three best friends who have the same first name an d live on the same cul-de-sac in the suburbs. Their personalities are as different as they are ridiculous.
