Earth Rangers Online Games Launch on Kids.NationalGeographic.com

Earth Rangers and NDi Media announce the launch of six Earth Rangers’ popular online games on Kids.NationalGeographic.com.

Press Release from Earth Rangers

Earth Rangers and NDi Media announce the launch of six Earth Rangers’ popular online games on Kids.NationalGeographic.com. The light-hearted, ecologically-themed games include: Filthy Flyways; Sneakin’ Dora; Pouncer’s Gadget; Nokapaka: The Shallow Tail; Gone Fishin’ and Rainforest Rescue.

Each game provides young visitors with loads of challenging fun while at the same time helping them to explore important eco-themes – from rescuing their animal friends, to guiding a bird safely along a flight path, and even a dangerous quest through the ocean in search of breakfast. The games feature some of Earth Rangers’ Animal Ambassadors, including Cosmo the Lemur, Dora the Tegu, and Pouncer the Barn Owl. The games have been licensed by National Geographic Kids.

“Inspiring kids to care about the planet is our mission so what better way to do so than through online games?,” asked Michelle Sullivan, Director, National Geographic Kids Digital Media. “These games allow kids to explore important environmental issues in a safe and fun way online.”

NDi Media, the games’ original developers facilitated the licensing arrangement with National Geographic Kids. This is the first deal to come about as a result of an agreement between Earth Rangers and NDi Media to distribute Earth Rangers’ portfolio of eco-games.

“We are thrilled to have placed this fantastic eco-content with National Geographic Kids” says Neil Smolar, President of NDi Media. “We believe these engaging games will achieve an outstanding level of success with the National Geographic audience.”

Mark Northwood, President and Co-CEO of Earth Rangers agrees, “Earth Rangers is dedicated to educating children about biodiversity loss and inspiring them to Bring Back the WildTM. Each year we reach over one million children through our programs and website, and our relationship with National Geographic Kids will enable us to reach an even wider audience of children all over the world. Together Earth Rangers, NDi Media and National Geographic Kids are helping to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards”.

All six games are currently available at http://kids.nationalgeographic.com. The games are also available at www.earthrangers.com.
