DreamWorks Animation’s extraterrestrial comedy, Home, is getting the “Party Edition” for its home entertainment debut, which begins today, June 26, with the official Digital HD release from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Home is also getting the Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray combo pack treatment, but those won’t make their way into stores until one month later, on July 28.
Those who purchase Home on iTunes Digital HD will be able to enjoy a “Boov-tastic” party of never-before-seen bonus features that will persuade the entire family to get their groove on, including “Oh’s Boovy Jukebox” of top tracks, “Oh’s Shake Your Boov Thing,” a toe-tapping, music video mash-up, deleted scenes, character-drawing tutorials, and more.Directed by Tim Johnson (Over The Hedge, Antz), Home is based on Adam Rex's 2007 children's book, “The True Meaning of Smekday,” and stars Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Parsons and Steve Martin. In the movie, Oh (voiced by Parsons), a lovable misfit from another planet, meets a girl named Tip (Rihanna). The two unlikely friends embark on the greatest journey of all time...the journey Home.
