DreamWorks Animation Names Bulldog Licensing as UK Agent

Bulldog Licensing announces that it has signed an agreement with DreamWorks Animation to act as UK licensing agent for three new CG animated event releases: this November’s “Rise of the Guardians” and 2013’s “The Croods” and “Turbo.”

London, UK – After signing an agreement with major Hollywood studio DreamWorks Animation SKG, Bulldog Licensing has announced that it will be acting as UK licensing agent for three new CG animated event releases: this November’s Rise of the Guardians and 2013’sThe Croods and Turbo.

Rise of the Guardians is an epic adventure that tells the story of a group of heroes – each with extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.. Starring Alec Baldwin, Jude Law, Isla Fisher, Chris Pine and Hugh Jackman, the movie is scheduled for release in November of this year.

The Croods, starring Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Clark Duke, and Cloris Leachman is set for release in March 2013.   When their cave is destroyed, the Crood family is forced to embark on an epic adventure into a pre-historic world in search of a new home. With the help of a brash, know-it-all nomad named Guy, the Croods learn to conquer their fears and discover what it takes to survive – each other.

Due for release in October 2013, Turbo is the story of a garden snail with an impossible dream: to win the Indy 500. When a freak accident gives him extraordinary speed, Turbo sets out to try to make this dream come true. Turbo stars Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Lion and Samuel L. Jackson.

DreamWorks Animation creates high-quality entertainment, including CG animated feature films, television specials and series and live entertainment properties, meant for audiences around the world.  The company has world-class creative talent, a strong and experienced management team and advanced filmmaking technology and techniques. DreamWorks Animation has theatrically released a total of 24 animated feature films, including the franchise properties of Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon.  Anticipation surrounding the new films is huge and Bulldog will be working hard to promote all three properties across the licensing spectrum. Confirmed partners already include Fisher-Price and Mattel as master toy for The Croods and Turbo respectively, whilst D3P is developing interactive product for all three titles.
