DreamWorks Llc and its animation division, DreamWorks Animation Inc., announced that DreamWorks Animation, Inc. has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its Class A common stock. Goldman, Sachs & Co. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. are serving as joint book-running managers of the offering.

DreamWorks Animation is principally devoted to developing and producing computer generated, or CG, animated feature films meant for a broad movie-going audience. It produced the top grossing animated film of all-time SHREK 2 and will release SHARK TALE this fall. It is also producing the CG TV series FATHER OF THE PRIDE, which will begin airing on NBC this fall.
DreamWorks was formed in October, 1994, by its three principal partners -- Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen -- to produce live-action motion pictures, animated feature films, television programming, home video entertainment, music, books, toys and consumer products.
