Drawn Together Creators Sign with FOX

Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser, creator of Comedy Central's animated series DRAWN TOGETHER, have signed a deal with 20th Century Fox TV, VARIETY reports. The two-year, seven-figure agreement will have the DRAWN duo developing new comedies as well as working on FOX series already in production.

The two-year deal, pegged in the seven-figure range, calls for Silverstein and Jeser to develop new comedy projects plus work on existing 20th series.

20th Century Fox TV's head Dana Walden told the trade pub, "It felt like their writing fit into the brand of comedy that we've been trying for a long time to establish at the studio. They're creative, ambitious and risk-taking. These are not the guys who will do the next generation of HAPPY DAYS. It's not easy to come about writers who can move seamlessly between animation and live action."

DRAWN TOGETHER will begin its third season this summer. If the series should be picked up for a fourth, Silverstein and Jeser will no longer be involved on a regular basis.
