Dragon's Lair Returns With A 20th Anniversary Box Set

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original arcade release of the hit video game DRAGON'S LAIR, interactive DVD publisher Digital Leisure is producing a special edition DVD box set of the three arcade classics created by Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and John Pomeroy. DRAGON'S LAIR, SPACE ACE and DRAGON'S LAIR II: TIME WARP are fully interactive games that include scenes from the original arcade releases. Optionally, players may select new scenes that were animated in 1983 but not included in any previous DRAGON'S LAIR release. The games have also been updated to include higher quality video, authentic scene order and a new difficulty selector to make it more challenging for DRAGON'S LAIR pros. Also included in the 20th Anniversary Edition are newspaper clippings, biographies, historical and current interviews with creators Don Bluth, Gary Goldman, John Pomeroy and Rick Dyer, as well as a documentary of the 20 years of DRAGON'S LAIR and a complete episode of the television show STARCADE (1983) featuring gamers vying for a DRAGON'S LAIR arcade machine. In addition, high resolution scans of box art from virtually all the DRAGON'S LAIR releases over the past 20 years have been catalogued for the first time ever on this DVD, along with selected pictures of licensed merchandise that came out around the time of the arcade release and the recently released DRAGON'S LAIR action figures. The disc also includes preview scenes from the upcoming DRAGON'S LAIR 3D release, and a discussion with the creators and developers. The Dragon's Lair 20th Anniversary Edition Box Set is now shipping.
