Doran Adds Color to Company 3 New York

Company 3 New York has hired two-time Monitor Award-winning colorist Roger H. Doran for his long-form work Company 3s fastest growing market segment. His recent credits include the HBO series SEX AND THE CITY and THE WIRE. His background also includes music videos and commercials.

"We intend to continue expanding our role in feature films and long-form television and Roger is the ideal person to lead the charge," said Company 3 md/president, Stefan Sonnenfeld. "Just as our commercial colorists are the best in their field, Roger is the best at what he does. He is a perfect fit for Company 3." In his first assignment for Company 3, Doran has wrapped up work on the first season of the new HBO dramatic series THE WIRE and colored on-air campaigns for HBO, Comedy Central and Oxygen.

Doran had been freelancing for the past year after exiting Post Perfect, New York, where he held a staff position for nine years. He also worked on a number of television miniseries, including THE STAND and THE LANGOLIERS, and music videos (Sting, Bon Jovi, Hootie and the Blowfish). He was nominated five times for Monitor Awards and won twice in 1996 and 2000 for, respectively, an MCI television commercial and NOW AND AGAIN. A native of Poughkeepsie, New York, Doran began his career as a video technician with EUE/ScreenGems, New York. He became a colorist at TVC Video, New York, working on five seasons of NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER.
