Cult hit DONNIE DARKO sequel S. DARKO has added Elizabeth Berkley and Briana Evigan to the cast, says THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
Chris Fisher will direct and Ash. R. Shah is producing. Other cast members include Ed Westwick (CW's GOSSIP GIRL) and Justin Chatwin (THE CHUMSCRUBBER) join Daveigh Chase reprising her role from the original as Donnie Darko's sister Samantha.
The story is set seven years after the first film, and follows Samantha dealing with her broken family by leaving town with her best friend (Evigan). The two are then plagued by bizarre visions. Production is already underway in Utah.
Berkley will play a speed freak-turned-Jesus-freak who longs to rid the world of sin and has an infatuation with her dreamy pastor. Evigan will appear in NBC's summer series FEAR ITSELF. Berkley recently wrapped up a stint on CBS' CSI: MIAMI.
