FRIGHT NIGHT has added David Tennant (DOCTOR WHO) and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (KICK-ASS) to its cast, reports HEAT VISION. They join Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell and Toni Collette.
Based on the 1985 film, the story follows a teen who believes his new neighbor is a vampire, while no one else believes him. Tennant takes on the role originated by Roddy McDowall, a late-night horror show host who comes to aid the teen. The part has been rewritten as a Las Vegas magician. Mintz-Plasse plays the teen's friend who sheds his nerd persona to join the coven of the vampire.
Craig Gillespie is the director with Michael De Luca and Alison R. Rosenzweig on as producers. Lloyd Ivan Miller, Michael Gaeta and Josh Bratman are the exec producers. Disney is releasing.
