Disney's TARZAN is coming to home video

Disney's TARZAN premiers on video and DVD on February 1, 2000, and a TARZANCOLLECTOR'S EDITION DVD will be released on March 21, 2000. TARZAN willfeature the "Strangers Like Me" music video by Phil Collins, and the DVDwill be DVD-ROM-enabled (with internet links) and loaded with excitingextras for all the family, including a never-before-seen recording sessionby Phil Collins and guests, a Read-Along, a Trivia Game, various sneakpeeks and many other features. Spanish and French versions of the videowill also be available. The VHS retails for US$26.99 and the DVD retailsfor US$39.99. The TARZAN COLLECTOR'S EDITION DVD, which will retail forUS$49.99, features audio commentary by the creators -- Producer BonnieArnold and Co-Directors Kevin Lima and Chris Buck -- and includessupplements detailing the history and development of the film, the legacyof Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan, and early presentation reels of the film.The collector's DVD also features an extensive look at the music of TARZAN,and includes interviews with Phil Collins and his original song demos, aswell as the ``You'll Be in My Heart'' music video (to be confirmed). Thereis also behind-the-scenes production material including footage of voicecasting, storyreels, rough animation and sound design, along withtheatrical trailers and publicity materials. Disney's TARZAN, which isbased on TARZAN OF THE APES, the first in a series of Tarzan novels byEdgar Rice Burroughs, stars Glenn Close, Rosie O'Donnell, Minnie Driver,Wayne Knight, Nigel Hawthorne, as well as Tony Goldwyn as the voice ofTarzan.
