Disney teams with Google to premiere the 38 minute stop-motion short film, Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story, on Google Play.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Disney Interactive and Google are teaming up to launch Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story, an original animated short film. The film will be available exclusively on Google Play, Google’s online store offering digital movies, books, music, apps, games and more. Viewers will also find a digital Valentine’s experience and additional video clips from the movie.
Based on the popular Disney Parks Vinylmation collectible franchise, Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story is a 38 minute stop-motion animated film that tells the story of Blank, an unpainted Vinylmation, on an epic adventure through an original new world to find his lost soul mate. Now through February 23, users can download Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story for free exclusively on Google Play and can view the film online from their computer, or on their Android phone or tablet, or iPhone and iPad through the Google Play Movies & TV app. (Get the app for Android or iOS.)
To celebrate the premiere, Google is also inviting fans to share frames from the film with friends and family as digital Valentine’s greetings at blankmovie.withgoogle.com. After sharing a frame, users can unlock a second special film, Cranes in Love, created especially for Google users.
Beginning on February 14, Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story will also be screened for a limited time at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA and at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park in Florida. Tickets to the El Capitan Theatre are available at www.elcapitantickets.com or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6.
