Disney Channel Forms New Management Team

The Disney Channel has formed a new management team, as a result of ABC Cable Networks Group's recent reorganization. Gary Marsh was named executive vice president, original programming and production; Andrea Taylor, senior vice president, marketing; and Jill Casagrande senior vice president, programming. "This team's creative vision and expertise in the marketplace will ensure Disney Channel's place as a leader in the creation of quality, kid-driven original product," said Rich Ross, general manager, Disney Channel. "This is the perfect team to build upon our already successful network. I couldn't be more pleased." Marsh, who previously was executive vice president, original programming, will be responsible for overseeing development and production of Disney Channel's entire slate of original programming. He will also helm the creative development of original programming for the International Disney Channels and ABC's Disney's "One Saturday Morning." In her new role as senior vice president, marketing, Taylor will be responsible for Disney Channel's brand vision, developing the network's marketing strategy, overseeing online creative and on-air promotions, consumer and trade marketing and implementing marketing and promotional campaigns. Previously, she served as senior vice president of on-air promotions and interstitials, ABC Cable Networks Group. In her new position, Casagrande will be responsible for overseeing program planning, scheduling, standards and practices, traffic, media planning and acquisitions for Disney Channel as senior vice president, programming. Subsequently, Marsh has named Susette Hsiung as senior vice president, production; Nancy Kanter, vice president, original programming, Playhouse Disney; and Adam Bonnett, vice president, original programming, Zoog Disney series. Michael Healy will continue to serve as vice president, original movies. As senior vice president of production, Hsiung will oversee the monitoring and controlling of production expenses, as well as supervising all physical production, of Disney Channel's Original Movies, series and specials. As vice president, original programming, Kanter will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of all original Playhouse Disney series. As vice president, original programming for Disney Channel, Bonnett will oversee all of the network's live-action and animation development, as well as current series for Zoog Disney, Disney Channel's programming block for kids 6-14. Healy will continue to serve as vice president, original movies, and be responsible for supervising the development and production of all original movies.
