Disney Channel has bought the rights to DITZ from veteran comics artist Neal Adams, reports Heat Vision. The network plans to develop the property into a live-action series. Steve Marmel (Disney Channel's SONNY WITH A CHANCE) will write and showrun the show.

The story follows a teen who, with the help of a newbie guardian angel, possess the power to enter the bodies of others in order to help them with their problems. The problem for her is that when her spirit leaves her own body, her body becomes a scatterbrain, which causes unforeseen problems for her to deal with upon her return.

Adams runs Continuity Studios with his wife/producer Marilyn. Since the 1960s, he has been an artist on such comic titles as X-MEN, GREEN LANTERN and BATMAN. Currently, he is working on a X-MEN miniseries and his Dark Horse title BLOOD.
