Discovery Kids Kicks Off New Schedule July 4

Discovery Kids is kicking off Independence Day in the U.S. with a sparkling new schedule on July 4, 2005, when the READY SET LEARN! commercial- and sponsor-free programming block will become READY SET SUMMER! featuring a special summer lineup that devotes the entire block each day of the week to a single series.

The critically acclaimed, Emmy award-winning programs within READY SET SUMMER! are designed to stimulate childrens curiosity about the world, whether theyre exploring the natural world around them, watching tiny action heroes save the day, learning that its okay to be different or developing powers of self expression through music and movement. READY SET SUMMER! airs weekday mornings from 6:00 am to noon on the Discovery Kids Channel and 6:00-9:00 am on TLC.

On the Discovery Kids Channel, airing Monday-Friday 6:00 am to noon, the schedule will feature six back-to back episodes each day of:

If preschoolers miss their favorite series on the Discovery Kids Channel day, they still have a chance to see it on another day on TLC from 6:00-9:00 am:
