'Dino Dan' Lands in Finland

YLE excavates the children’s series featuring photo-realistic CGI dinosaurs.

TORONTOBreakthrough Entertainment announced that YLE in Finland will be broadcasting the hit children’s series Dino Dan.

Aimed at 4-7-year-olds, Dino Dan is a CGI and live-action adventure series that centers on Dan Henderson, a 10-year-old boy whose every waking moment is taken up with dinosaurs, using his vivid imagination to bring them to life. In each episode, Dan spins an everyday situation into a dino adventure by imagining photo-realistic, prehistoric creatures into normal life. Dino Dan is an adventurous, educational and fun series that will enlighten while it entertains.

“We look forward to including Dino Dan in our programming line-up,” said Vicky Schroderus, Acquisitions Executive for YLE. “Dinosaurs continue to fascinate children and this unique series succeeds in bringing these ancient creatures to life in a completely vibrant, educational, and often magical way.”

Dino Dan, from award-winning producer, Sinking Ship Entertainment, is now playing across 85 countries and we are very delighted to introduce the series to Finland, a vital market for children’s programming,” said Nat Abraham, President of Distribution for Breakthrough. “Dino Dan is one of those rare series that energizes the imagination while expanding children’s’ knowledge – without them even realizing it.”

The second season of production began in March 2012 for Nick Jr. and broadcasters around the globe.
