Digital-Tutors To Exhibit At SIGGRAPH 2008

Video-based digital artist training provider Digital-Tutors will exhibit at the upcoming SIGGRAPH 2008 conference in Los Angeles, California, from August 11-14. Digital-Tutors and more than 200 other companies from around the world will be demonstrating the latest tools and technology in the computer graphic industry. Digital-Tutors' exhibit will feature 24 workstations for attendees to interact, tour, and test-drive Digital-Tutors' entire library of training for software including Maya, XSI, ZBrush, Houdini, modo, XNA, Mudbox, RenderMan for Maya, Syflex, RealFlow, Photoshop, Flash, and Dreamweaver, throughout SIGGRAPH.

"This year's SIGGRAPH is going to be huge for us," said Sandip Patel COO of Digital-Tutors. "This year, attendees will have the opportunity to test-drive our training and see first-hand why Digital-Tutors is different. We are also proud sponsors of SIGGRAPH events including FJORG!, The Computer Animation Festival, and The Guerilla Studio; all great events that provide artists with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and creativity. We're also looking forward to hearing announcements from our partners like SOFTIMAGE and their upcoming release of XSI 7, with which our training comes bundled with the new software," added Patel.

Digital-Tutors will be at Pixar Animation Studios' booth #947 each day at 11 a.m. presenting INTRODUCTION TO RENDERMAN FOR MAYA 2.0, an artist-friendly approach to learning and fully understanding the powerful features and capabilities of RenderMan for Maya. Digital-Tutors will also be presenting a learning session at eyeon's booth #801 on compositing with Fusion 5, a full-featured, node-based compositing system.

Digital-Tutors is sponsoring FJORG!, a competition among some of the world's best CG animators to create the best character-driven animation on Monday, August 11 from 9 a.m. to Tuesday, August 12 at 5 p.m. in room 151 of the Convention Center; The Computer Animation Festival that includes five days of screening, four days of speeches, three nights of studio events, and two days of 3D stereoscopic panels and screenings takes place throughout the conference in the Nokia Theater; and The Guerilla Studio, an interactive creation studio that provides attendees with the opportunity to create art in every sub-discipline imaginable will be in Hall H of the Convention Center throughout the week; and The Art Institute's Friends of the Art Institute's Birds of a Feather Networking Event being held in room 307 of the conference center from 4-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13.

Digital-Tutors is giving away hundreds of Digital-Tutors' SIGGRAPH shirts and more than $20,000 in prizes from proud sponsors including Pixar, Softimage, Next Limit, Pixologic, Luxology, and Side Effects Software.
