Digital Musings From the Editor:

With the Thanksgiving holiday taking up most of last week in the U.S., we had only three new articles good live since the last edition of the Newswire, but what articles they were. Tara DiLullo looks at the photoreal effects work done by ILM on JARHEAD. In addition, Alain Bielik has a two-part series on the plethora of VFX that work their magic in HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE.

December is shaping up to be a stellar month on VFXWorld with the theme of 3D environments and digital acting. As well well be kicking off a five-part series on THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA with four diaries by artists from Rhythm & Hues and Sony Pictures Imageworks. Other big holiday flicks to be covered include AEON FLUX, CASANOVA and the biggest one of them all KING KONG. Editor Bill Desowitz will be back next week from the KING KONG press junket in New York City and until then enjoy what VFXWorld has in store this week.
