DIC Promotes Jedd Gold To Marketing VP

DIC Ent. (DIC) has promoted Jedd Gold to vp of marketing. In his new position, Gold will oversee all marketing and promotional initiatives for DIC, including marketing strategies for the company's brand properties STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE and the upcoming release of TROLLZ. He will be responsible for creating and executing multi-layered retail and consumer campaigns, including advertising, promotions and publicity. Gold will manage the efforts of DIC's internal marketing team and outside vendors. Additionally, he will oversee the production of and ongoing support for the upcoming launch of www.trollz.com, a persistent web community to introduce the tween brand Trollz.

In this capacity, he managed the marketing initiatives for the 2003 re-launch of the hit girl's property STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, which has generated $700 million worldwide to date. Gold created promotional opportunities for DIC's lifestyle and entertainment brands. He also forged strategic corporate partnerships with General Mills, Little Debbie, Brach's and Langer Juice Co. Gold began his career in sales at Pepsi Co. and was responsible for significantly increasing revenues in one of the lowest performing markets in the territory.
