Sergio Pablos, exec producer of DESPICABLE ME, will serve as animation supervisor on Oscar-winner Juan Jose Campanella's 3-D animated feature, METEGOL (FOOSBALL), reports Variety.
Sergio Pablos, exec producer of DESPICABLE ME, will serve as animation supervisor on Oscar-winner Juan Jose Campanella's 3-D animated feature, METEGOL (FOOSBALL), reports Variety. Based on Roberto Fontanarrosa's story, a village gains the help of foosball players come to life to save their town. Director Campanella co-wrote with Gaston Gorali, Eduardo Sacheri and Axel Kuschevatzky.
Additionally, Antena 3 Films has joined the project as a co-producer. The production companies already include 100 Bares, Catmandu Branded Ent. and Plural-Jempsa.
The $9.8 million production will be ready in 2012.
Canal Plus has taken the Spanish pay TV rights.
