Dennis Hoffman to Head Production at Rainmaker Visual Effects

Dennis Hoffman has joined Rainmaker Visual Effects as head of production, a comparable position he most recently held at Digital Domain. Hoffman will report to Brian Moylan, managing director, Rainmaker Visual Effects.

Hoffman, a 20-year production vet, began his career in the commercial world at Image G. He subsequently joined Dream Quest Images as a visual effects producer and moved up the ranks after nine years to become vp/exec producer overseeing such films as visual effects Oscar nominees MIGHTY JOE YOUNG and ARMAGEDDON. Hoffman also served as vp/head of production at Cinesite and did independent stints with Warner Bros., Radium FX and Filmworks/FX and. in Canada, EA and Anthem Visual Effects.

Currently in production at Rainmaker Visual Effects in Vancouver are BLADES OF GLORY, VANTAGE POINT, CASE 39, TRICK 'R TREAT and HOT ROD; and in their London facility, BUTTERFLY ON A WHEEL, LA VIE EN ROSE, 1408, VANTAGE POINT and various episodes of HBO's ROME 2.
