DECODE Lands CiTV Deal For Mimi

DECODE Entertainment has further consolidated its presence in the U.K. kids market, signing its first deal with CiTV to broadcast WHAT ABOUT MIMI? in its 2003 fall schedule.

WHAT ABOUT MIMI? is a family-oriented cartoon series, which focuses on the adventures of 11-year-old, resourceful problem-solver, Mimi Morton. She thinks the world has wonderful potential, but its poorly managed. Its a daunting job, but clearly she needs to do it. Mimi is swift to size up her familys problems and set off comical complications. Mimi does learn from her mistakes, only to make a brilliant batch of new ones tomorrow.

WHAT ABOUT MIMI? has aired in France, Italy and Canada and recently won the prestigious Pulcinella Award at Cartoons on the Bay.

The series is produced by Vancouvers Studio B Prods. with DECODE as co-exec producer and worldwide distributor.

We are delighted that the show has found a home on CiTV, said DECODE partner Neil Court. Mimi is bright, impulsive and wildly imaginative, shes a girl with a mission and we are confident that young audiences will be captivated by her adventures and problem solving schemes.

Steven Andrew, controller of Children's Programs at ITV added: Mimi is a delightful character and we are very pleased to have been able to give the series a terrestrial airing in the U.K.
