DECODE & Aardman Go Down Under with Planet Sketch

DECODE Ent. is further expanding its presence on Australian public broadcaster ABC, signing a deal for Aardman Animations co-production PLANET SKETCH at MIPCOM 2005.

This deal marks a further commitment to DECODEs programming by the broadcaster, which already airs a number of series including the primetime 2D animation BROMWELL HIGH as well as FRANNYS FEET and THE SAVE-UMS! for pre-schoolers.

Dominique Bazay, vp distribution at DECODE Ent., said, DECODE titles do very well in ABCs Kids schedule and I know the unique humor and style of PLANET SKETCH will be a hit with Australian Kids.

Launching at MIPCOM, PLANET SKETCH (13x11), commissioned by CiTV and Teletoon Canada, has also recently sold to Cartoon Network Latin America and M-Net in South Africa. Aimed at 7-11 year olds, the show consists of recurring characters in a rapid-fire, high-energy format, which will grab the attention and tickle the funny bone of its young audience.

Headquartered in Toronto, with offices in London, DECODE Ent. Inc. (www.decode-ent.com) is one of the worlds leading producers and distributors of television programming and interactive content for the children, family and youth markets.
