Daytime Emmy Deadline Dec. 5

Dec. 5, 2003 is the deadline to enter daytime programming for 2003-2004 Daytime Emmy Awards consideration, as well as to register to vote in the awards contest and to join the academy in order to vote in the daytime competition. Entry forms and membership applications are available at www.emmyonline.org or call (212) 586-8426. Applications must be received at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences headquarters in New York City for the daytime awards. Members of ATAS in N. Hollywood maybe be eligible to vote in the daytime contest, but must register with NATAS in New York.

Ballots will be mailed Jan. 26-30, 2004, with nominees to be announced March 3 and the television awards will be televised May 21.

The Daytime Emmy Awards has been honoring excellence in all fields of daytime television production for 30 years. The Emmy is awarded in 60 categories, including acknowledgements for series, performers and all other technical and creative areas of production. Each year the office of the Daytime Emmy Awards processes more than 5,000 entries and 3,000+ voter registration forms, culminating with a televised show that pays tribute to the exceptional work of daytime television's elite.
