Commercial director Dario Piana will make his feature directorial debut with THE DEATHS OF IAN, according to the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Stan Winston Prods is producing the independent horror film, written by Brendan Hood, produced by Stan Winston and Brian Gilbert. The flick tells the story of an all-American guy who is murdered each day by horrifying pursuers, only to wake up in slightly different lives to experience the terror of being murdered again.
Stan Winston Studios plans to create plenty of creatures for the movie. Odyssey Ent. is financing THE DEATHS OF IAN, to shoot this summer on the Isle of Man. Italian Piana has directed some 400 commercials and also is attached to Phoenix Pictures' WEREWOLF and Millennium Films' SNAKESKIN. He is repped by BWCS, manager Paul Kelmenson and Loeb & Loeb.
