The Dahlonega International Film Festival

The Dahlonega International Film Festival.

Dahlonega, Georgia, USA.

Thursday, June 27 Sunday, June 30, 2002.

Entry Deadline: Tuesday, April 30, 2002.

The Dahlonega International Film Festival (DIFF) brings together the concept of a totally filmmaker-friendly festival with the beautiful setting of Dahlonega, Georgia - the site of America's first gold rush. DIFF will strive to be at the forefront in exhibiting works from emerging artisans who have been ignored by the more conventional exhibiting venues. Film, video and digital works will be judged on an equal footing. This competition is about how well ideas are communicated on the screen more so than how high the production value. Each category will have a trophy for Audience Awards and other trophies and awards as designated by the festival organizers. The categories include Narrative Feature and Short, Documentary Feature and Short, Experimental, Animated Feature and Short, and the Cine-Web Animated Short Competition for films created using Flash, Shockwave or other Web publishing software. Entry fees are based on the length of the film. Please visit the Website for more information and entry regulations.
