CyberChase Makes Marketing Push

PBS Kids' math-mystery property CYBERCHASE has moved into brand activity high gear this spring, including new marketing dollars and licensees. With INTEL and JIF signing on as national underwriters of the series, the deal brings a variety of promotional opportunities and marketing dollars to the show. As part, national student contests, educational outreach programs, consumer promotions and events are in the works to focus nationwide attention on math literacy.

In addition, Carl's Jr./Hardee's restaurants will be offering CYBERCHASE kids meal program beginning mid-February 2004. The kids meal program will be distributed in between other license-based promotions, typically one week at a time, and is available throughout the calendar year. Featuring CYBERCHASE meal bags and an online overlay on Carl's Jr./Hardee's dedicated Cool Kids Website (www.carlscoolkids.com), the promotion will deliver four different toys to 3,000 participating stores.

This promotional follows Paradise Press Inc. release of two CYBERCHASE coloring and activity books in Wal-Mart stores in January with more titles, arriving in March to be sold at Wal-Mart, Dollar Tree, Walgreen's and other retail outlets throughout the United States.

The animated series is produced by Thirteen/WNET New York and Corus Entertainment's Nelvana. More information about the series can be found at www.pbskids.org/cyberchase.
