Pacific Title & Art Studio has drafted Crystal Dowd to lead the expansion of its burgeoning Visual Effects division. As exec producer of Visual Effects, Dowd will oversee all aspects of Pacific Title's vfx services from concept through delivery.

"We're excited to have Crystal leading our efforts to take on larger-scale effects projects and collaborate with filmmakers from the earliest stages of production."
Dowd has been a visual effects producer on TITANIC, THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT, 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS and BABE: PIG IN THE CITY.
She began her 17-year career as the postproduction coordinator on the groundbreaking TERMINATOR 2, and went on to serve as Digital Domain's visual effects coordinator on TRUE LIES. Other notable credits include THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, SIMONE, REINDEER GAMES and CLIFFHANGER.
In 1998, Dowd received the Hollywood Digital Award for her work on the Oscar-winning TITANIC.
Most recently, she produced the visual effects for the forthcoming fantasy adventure INKHEART, directed by Iain Softley and starring Brendan Fraser and Paul Bettany.

Dowd will work closely with Pacific Title's visual vffects operations manager and TD Kevin Braun, as well as in-house visual effects supervisors Mark Freund and David Sosalla.
Pacific Title is currently creating vfx for the upcoming Adam Sandler comedy YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN and IMAX's GRAND CANYON ADVENTURE.
The company has provided Visual Effects for numerous films, including the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trilogy, BLADES OF GLORY, HAIRSPRAY, ZODIAC, THE GRUDGE 2, NORBIT, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2, SHOOTER, RV, THE RING, LIONS FOR LAMBS and WALK HARD.
