Creepshow Remake in the Works

As a way to restart the franchise, Warner Bros. Pictures is developing a remake of the original 1982 horror film, CREEPSHOW, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Ent. will produce along side Taka Ichise of OZ LA, Tony Ludwig and James Dudelson, the original rights holder. WB is looking for writers.

The original anthology feature was inspired by the 1950s EC Comics style and was written by Stephen King and directed by LAND OF THE DEAD-helmer George A. Romero. Unlike the original where the various tales were stand-alone, the new version will have a GO style were characters and stories intertwine.

Geoff Shaevitz is shepherding for Warners with Gabriel Mason overseeing for Vertigo as well as producing.
