Creature Comforts Return to DVD

From British-based Aardman Animations, comes the two-disc CREATURE COMFORTS: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON (Sony Pictures Home Ent., $24.96), featuring all 12 wickedly clever episodes of a series that provides a glimpse into the innermost thoughts of animals. In addition, SPE has also recently released the lively Christmas special CREATURE COMFORTS: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! ($9.95) and a boxed set of CREATURE COMFORTS: SEASONS 1 & 2 ($40.95). All three Creature Comforts releases arrived on DVD on Oct. 24, 2006

Based on the Oscar-winning short film by Nick Park, CREATURE COMFORTS takes real-life conversations from ordinary British citizens and puts them into the mouths of clay-animated animals with bigger than life personalities, including the return of Trixie and Captain Cuddlepuss, the Dog and Cat, Fluffy the Hamster and Clement the Bloodhound.

The success of the original Oscar-winning short CREATURE COMFORTS launched Parks career and made Aardman one of the most successful animation studios in the world. The collaboration has since spawned such endearing creations as the Oscar-winning odd couple Wallace and Gromit, the captive chickens of the 2000 theatrical feature CHICKEN RUN and the friendly underground creatures of FLUSHED AWAY, which opens Nov. 3 in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation.

Bonus features include:

* Eyeballs and Fish-lips _ The Making of CREATURE COMFORTS* The People Behind the Puppets* Animated Conversation _ Countryside Code Short

On CREATURE COMFORTS: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!, discover how hamsters cope with indigestion. Why do dogs hate wearing Christmas hats? What happens when a partridge is chased out of its pear tree? And why do dogs find Christmas unbearably emotional?
