Cookie Jar Education Acquires Kingsley & Fiesta Brands

Cookie Jar Education has acquired the Kingsley and Fiesta lines of ESL (English as a second language) and SSL (Spanish as a second language) books and education materials from San Diego, California-based Kingsley Publishing, the publisher responsible for the development of the properties.

Kingsley and Fiesta will be maintained under the Cookie Jar Education umbrella of educational businesses, which includes Carson-Dellosa Publishing, HighReach Learning and Rainbow Bridge Publishing. Kingsley Publishing principal Susan Brown will work exclusively with the Carson-Dellosa team and continue leading Kingsley and Fiesta development through Carson-Dellosa.

The Kingsley brand is an important addition to our recently launched school initiative given the need for quality ESL and SSL products in the schools and Fiesta represents a compelling product line for the dealer, trade and parent markets. This collection of quality products, combined with the Carson-Dellosa sales reach will allow this transaction to show sizeable and immediate growth, said Michael Hirsh, ceo of the Cookie Jar group of companies.

I am excited about working with the Carson-Dellosa team and the potential of the Kingsley and Fiesta lines under the Carson-Dellosa banner, said Brown. These products serve a growing niche in the schools and other markets and provide a strong addition to the Carson-Dellosa line-up of products.
