Press Release from Tool of North America

Tool of North America has hired creative and design pro Jeff Levine to the newly created position of interactive design director. In just a short amount of time, Levine has already creatively collaborated with several Tool directors, including interactive standout Grant Skinner who recently worked with Droga5 on a real-time Facebook app for Puma. Levine also teamed up with Geordie Stephens on an Advanced Rich Media banner project for Windows Mobile 7 via CP+B. Additional campaigns include work for adidas, Mountain Dew, Dodge Ram, Usher and iPad to name a few.

Levine brings a wealth of digital experience to complement Tool's expansive existing base. Prior to joining Tool, Levine spent four years - from 2006 to 2010 - running Fake-Up, a full-service interactive studio that he originally created in 2001 to serve as his personal portfolio. The company focused on interactive projects and campaigns producing banners, microsites, large sites and games. While at Fake-Up, Levine's work on the Amtrak Parks in Your Backyard was featured in The New York Times and won numerous industry awards. Additionally, Levine was an FWA Site of the Year judge for two years. Prior to Fake-up, Levine freelance art directed for top-flight studios and agencies around the world.

"Not only is Jeff an incredible creative and design talent, but he is a proven leader who ran his own highly regarded interactive studio for several years," noted Tool EP Digital Dustin Callif. "He is a great addition, as we leverage Jeff's background in interactive design, 3D and Flash to continue pushing the boundaries of digital and live-action projects."
