Spontaneous Combustion has spruced up the CGI product shots and on-line edit for two Aube Cosmetics ads. "Lipstick" and ‘Eyeshadow" were produced for Aube, one of Japan’s foremost cosmetic companies. Creative director Sam DeWitt said, "We built models and textures for the new compacts containing the make-up. We added a lot of CG on the live-action backplates – eyeshadow and lipstick sparkles – that were applied to the models to emphasize the effect of the makeup." Spontaneous Combustion used inferno* to create the compositing, 3D Studio max for the CGI and After Effects for pre-comping. The commercial was produced for New York-based advertising agency PMC.
