GK Films is in talks to acquire the rights to a feature project based on Michael Jackson's legendary THRILLER music video, reports Deadline.com. Real Effects Entertainment has developed the project with Kenny Ortega (THIS IS IT) and Jeremy Garelick (THE HANGOVER) attached to direct and write, respectively. Rod Temperton, "Thriller" songwriter, will compose songs for the film.

Plot details are under wraps but it will follow the Vincent Price character and the mythology of the town he's from.

Fox 2000, Mandate/Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment are also in the mix for the project.
