Comet Ent. Sells Wrappy, Sex Police To MTV Latin America

Canada-based Comet Ent. has sold its animated WRAPPY, SEX POLICE to MTV Latin America. SEX POLICE will have its premier in the Animatosis block during MTV's "sex month," The show has different timeslots throughout the region.

"Comet is extremely excited to be working with MTV," said Comet ceo Raquel Benitez. "Their projects are innovative, creative and our show, SEX POLICE, which is full of humor and action, will be a perfect fit in their programming. I am sure their audience will love it, we will fill an empty space in the adult animation industry."

The adult series is about Wrappy, the most polemic condom on the Internet, who creates a team of special agents called Sex Police, to fight against the "lack of sexual responsibility" and to solve the most bizarre cases that happen in Temptation City.

The 13 half-hour series is a coproduction between Comet Ent. and Spain-based Paneka Animaestudio. It started as funny Flash animated cartoons for the Internet. The site was running 45,000 visits per day, in just a month from its debut. NGOs and Health organizations also are interested in using Wrappy for campaigns and as sexual education material oriented to young audiences.

With a successful track record in the distribution arena with other properties, Comet Ent. is in production on the HDTV primetime feature film, Santa Vs Claus. Comet Ent. (www.cometentertainment.com), is an animation production, content development and distribution group, headquarter in Toronto.
