Weekend Update! New release BABY MAMA, with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, opened strong with $18.3 million, winning the box office for the weekend ending April 27.

Stoner comedy HAROLD AND KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY (New Line, vfx by Reality Check Studios) won the number two slot with $14.57M.

Lionsgate's THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM slipped to third with a second-week haul of $11.23M and a total gross of $38.255M. VFX were by Macrograph, DTI, Footage, Asia Legend, Xing Xing, Svengali, Illusion Arts, Stingray VFX, Digiscope and Frantic Films.

Universal's FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL came in fourth place with $11.014M for a two-week cume of $35.077M.

NIM'S ISLAND held steady in fifth place, but bringing in just $4.525M for Fox (vfx by CafeFX, Eden FX, Handmade Digital and Lola Visual Effect).

Screengems' PROM NIGHT (vfx by Lola Visual Effects) took in $4.4M for sixth place. It's made $38.115M over three weeks.

Sony's 21 (vfx by Proof, SWAY Studios) earned $4M for a cume of $76M and seventh place.

Eighth place went to Al Pacino's 88 MINUTES (Sony, vfx by Worldwide FX) with $3.6M.

Fox's DR. SEUSS' HORTON HEARS A WHO! stuck around in ninth place with a $2.41M haul with a seven week gross of $147.9M.

And newcomer DECEPTION (Fox), despite sultry ads with Michelle Williams, opened in tenth place with $2.2M.
