New York-based Click 3x recently finished up production on a spot promoting Food Network's "Dine In Dine Out Sweepstakes." The idea for the 30-second spot germinated with the cable net's in-house creative staff, after which Click 3x's Creative Director Iain Greenway and his compatriots were enlisted to design the visuals and produce the ad. The commercial interjects Food Network personalities into a stylized 3D kitchen and/or restaurant setting. The visual concept is reminiscent of architectural blueprints, featuring objects rendered in stroked outlines. Winners will either receive a night out on the town or a re-modeled kitchen.
"We wanted to create a spot that would effectively communicate the main points of the sweepstakes and support the Food Network brand," said Michael Adley, Food Network vp/creative director. "Click 3x did an exceptional job in enhancing our concept, delivering a spot that is unique and engaging."
The Big Apple ad house created all the modeling, animation, graphics and compositing in Adobe AfterEffects. In addition to Greenway, the Click crew consisted of executive producer Abbe Daniel, art director/designer/animator Arlan Smith, designer Eve Lim, producer Todd McCammon, and associate producer Lana Akiliu. The Food Network side included director/on-air design Christos DeVaris, producer Lynn Gregorski, as well as Adley.
Click 3X fashions visual effects, computer animation and broadcast design services to the advertising and television industries. The studio is located at 16 West 22nd Street, New York, NY 10010.
