Class-Key Chew-Po Goes Cuckoo For Coco-Puffs

Class-Key Chew-Po Commercials has created two "Election" spots for General Mills' Cocoa Puffs cereal. "Election: Part I" has Sonny the cuckoo bird campaigning against two other candidates and promising to put real chocolate money in specially packaged Cocoa Puffs cereal boxes. In the second spot, Sonny wins the election and announces that for a limited time chocolate coins will be in all Cocoa Puffs Cereal boxes. Director Bonita Versh said, "I had a lot of fun compositing 2D animation into a 3D environment and I really enjoyed creating captivating artwork that would work well with this technique." Ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi's senior VP/creative director, David Shea, said, "No need for recounts or judicial reviews with these election results. Bonita and her team gave us just the look we were hoping for; a combination of Cocoa Puffs kookiness, Klasky Csupo quirkiness, and an eye-catching use of CG and cel." Class-Key Chew-Po's crew consisted of executive producers John Andrews and Liz Seidman, producer Nathalie Mesmer, director Bonita Versh, CG animator David Foss, assistant director Cecelia Lawries and executive assistant Kim Tatum.
