CinemaNow to Offer Download-To-Own Disney Movies

CinemaNow Inc. has struck a non-exclusive agreement with Buena Vista Home Ent. (BVHE) to offer Disney movies on a download-to-own basis through its website. BVHE will additionally offer select new movies beginning with GLORY ROAD on June 6, which will coincide with the timing of its DVD release. This agreement will also allow on demand viewers to move their content onto approved portable devices.

Movies initially offered on a download-to-own basis include CHICKEN LITTLE, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, HERBIE: FULLY LOADED and FLIGHTPLAN. New movies will be priced at about $20 while catalog titles will be offered at about $10.

Additional movies available the same day as their DVD release will include EIGHT BELOW on June 20 and ANNAPOLIS on June 27. Customers can purchase and download a legal, permanent copy of a BVHE movie for unlimited playback on the download device.
