Cinelicious acquires High Hat Post Inc., a boutique film restoration company.
In a move to support its growing film restoration and remastering department, Cinelicious acquired boutique film restoration company High Hat Post Inc. The deal comprises all aspects of High Hat's business, equipment, and talent, including High Hat principal Craig Rogers as Cinelicious’ Lead Restoration Artist.

Like Cinelicious, High Hat was built with celluloid in its DNA and an obsession with image quality and beauty. It just made sense to combine forces.”
Craig Rogers brings years of large format film experience for "making images perfect". During his 12-year tenure at IMAX he was responsible for quality control and supervision of final film recording of over 50 IMAX releases including The Dark Night, Avatar, and the Harry Potter series. As founder of High Hat Post Craig has been working on meticulous restorations from challenging elements such as 35m B/W Nitrate, and 16mm A-B Original Camera Negative for MacGillivray-Freeman Films’ notable 16mm surf-film library, which will come to Cinelicious as part of the acquisition.

Their Scanity and new Lasergraphics scanners are absolutely incredible. I'm like a kid in a candy store."
Cinelicious also adds to its expanding digital restoration arsenal with Digital Vision's Phoenix Refine full-featured Film Restoration platform including DVO Enhance (Clarity, Sharpen, Grain, Re-Grain Alias, Brickwall), DVO Restore (Dust, Fix, Print Align, Scratch, Flicker, Steady & Chroma). In addition to Pheonix Refine and PF Clean digital restoration toolsets, Cinelicious also has a fully featured Scanity 4K scanner with IR dirt mapping for 16mm & 35mm, and recently added the new Lasergraphics ScanStation for groundbreaking 2K small format 8mm, Super 8mm & 9.5mm transfers. 4K color grading and review is provided in Cinelicious 4K DI theater w/Barco 4Kp projection, and deliverables include 4K DCP, 4K film out, and YCM Separation Masters.
