Chuck Jones To Create Original Webseries

The legendary Chuck Jones is bringing his first original character in 40 years to the Internet. The series will feature Thomas T. Wolf, an unlucky timber wolf who often falls victim to falling objects when someone yells, "Timber!" Jones created the character 10 years ago as an idea intended for a theatrical short. Executive producer Stephan Fossati, who worked on six Looney Tunes shorts in 1992, was asked by a Warner Bros. executive whether Jones had any new characters for the Web. Fossati remembered Thomas T. Wolf from his dealings with Jones in the past and later approached Jones about the project. In USA TODAY Jones said, "Frankly, I didnt know what the Internet was. It didnt matter to me. The main thing was, [they] wanted to animate the character." The 87-year-old animator is the creator of such cartoon legends as Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote and Pepe LePew and directed many famous shorts featuring Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. The new Jones toon will premiere on WB.com and Entertaindom in November. The Webtoon will feature pick-your-own-endings and various camera angles for viewers to pick from. The voice cast will include Joe Alasky (voice of Marvin Martian) as Thomas and Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson) will voice Earl Squirrel.
