'A Christmas Story 2' on Disc October 30

The holiday season arrives early this year as A Christmas Story 2 debuts on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on October 30th, and Digital Download on October 16th from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.

Burbank, CA -- The holiday season arrives early this year as A Christmas Story 2 debuts on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on October 30th, and Digital Download on October 16th from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. From Warner Premiere and director Brian Levant (The Flintstones, Jingle All The Way), A Christmas Story 2 stars Daniel Stern (Home Alone, City Slickers) as The Old Man, Braeden LeMasters (television’s “Men of a Certain Age,” Easy A) as 15 year-old Ralphie Parker and Stacy Travis (Fun with Dick and Jane, Bandits) as Mrs. Parker.

The sequel to Bob Clark’s 1983 classic, A Christmas Story 2 is written by Nat Mauldin (Doctor Dolittle) and is based on the works of Jean Shepherd (A Christmas Story).  The film is produced by Phil Goldfine (Lost Boys: The Thirst, Lost Boys: The Tribe) and executive produced by the estate of Bob Clark.  The film also stars David Buerhle (television’s “Victorious”) as Flick and David W. Thompson (Win Win) as Schwartz.

A Christmas Story 2 will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $29.98 and on single disc DVD for $27.95.  The Blu-ray Combo Pack features a hi-definition and standard definition copy of the film and UltraViolet; and the single disc DVD features a standard definition copy of the film and UltraViolet. UltraViolet allows consumers to download and instantly stream the standard definition theatrical version of the film to a wide range of devices including computers and compatible tablets, smartphones, game consoles, Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players.

Synopsis

When 15 year-old Ralphie accidentally wrecks his dream car before even getting it off the lot, he and his friends Flick and Schwartz band together to raise the money to fix it by Christmas Eve – before the car dealer reports the incident to the police. They all get their (first!) jobs, but run into trouble at every turn. When things look most bleak, Ralphie finds the true meaning of Christmas with the help of his family and his friends.
