Chorion Signs SPHE as Partner on Olivia

Family entertainment producer and distributor Chorion has appointed Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) as its international partner for its new preschool TV series, OLIVIA. This deal follows Chorion's appointment of SPHE as worldwide distribution partner on THE MR. MEN SHOW last year.

OLIVIA launched on Nickelodeon (U.S.) in January to rave reviews and has since made its debut on Five's Milkshake! block in the U.K. and ABC in Australia and will launch imminently on TF1 in France. The OLIVIA TV series will air in 20 territories in 2009 including YLE Finland, NRK Norway, RUV Iceland, Danmarks Radio, Nick Jr. U.K., Treehouse in Canada and The Walt Disney Company Latin America.

Based on Ian Falconer's best selling, award-winning books, published by Simon & Schuster, the OLIVIA TV series captures the book series' trademark humor and the irrepressible personality of its heroine with its gorgeous 3D CGI series animation style. The series is animated by Brown Bag Films. It is exec produced by Chorion's Diana Manson and Kurt Mueller, and Brown Bag Films' Cathal Gaffney.
