Chorion Named Robert Traub VP Of Licensing

Chorion has named Robert Traub Vice President, Licensing, Americas.

Traub comes to Chorion after eight years at Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP). He joined NVCP in 1999 as Director, Global Retail and Marketing Development and held several positions, before being named SVP, Global Retail Sales & Marketing Development in 2006. While at NVCP, he developed and oversaw campaigns for more than 50 brands, including BLUE'S CLUES, DORA THE EXPLORER, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS and SOUTH PARK. Under his leadership, consumer product retail sales at NVCP grew fivefold between 1999 and 2007.

Prior to Nickelodeon, Traub served as Director, Marketing & Sales for Marvel Ent. Group, where he was responsible for the development and execution of all sales and marketing programs. He has also served as account supervisor for Nestle Frozen Food Company.

In his new position, Traub will be responsible for all aspects of licensing and merchandising campaigns for Chorion's properties in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, including MR. MEN AND LITTLE MISS, THE WORLD OF ERIC CARLE, OLIVIA, PADDINGTON and TRUCKTOWN.

Traub succeeds Pamela Ferris Muller in the position. Ferris Muller continues with Chorion as a consultant and will work closely with Traub going forward.

Traub has been honored with a number of retail industry awards from the International Licensing Industry Merchandiser Association (LIMA). He attended Penn State University and holds a B.A. in Organizational Management/Electrical Engineering.
