China's NetEase Embraces Australia's BigWorld Technology

BigWorld Pty. Ltd., the developer of the award-winning BigWorld Technology, has licensed the world's most advanced Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) development package to Chinese Internet Technology company, NetEase.com.

BigWorld Technology is a customizable MMOG middleware created by Australia's Micro Fort⁄ Pty Ltd., and has been described by Microsoft as "the most advanced and comprehensive solution that has ever been offered for massively multiplayer game development".

The BigWorld Technology provides developers with a complete MMOG development solution, including server infrastructure, client interface and a tightly integrated suite of content creation tools.

NetEase.com has started development on an unnamed MMOG project using the BigWorld Technology, since the company attained its license.

Says Michael Tong, exec director of NetEase.com, "We have found the Bigworld Technology to be extremely flexible and robust. Our artists and world builders have found BigWorld's content creation tools intuitive and very powerful. The technical support is also excellent."
