Chicago Children's Film Festival Pays Tribute To Weston Woods

The 19th annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival will honor Scholastic's Weston Woods Studios, for its 50 years of achievement in creating award-winning film adaptations of children's books. Organizers say that as the creators of favorite film adaptations such as WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, CHRYSANTHEMUM and MAKE WAY FOR DUCKLINGS, Weston Woods "enhances classic children's stories with art, animation, and music to produce films that remain true to the original story and form, making them the benchmark of quality." The tribute to Weston Woods will feature ten classic films during an afternoon of special tribute screenings on Sunday, October 27, 2002.
