CHARLIE AND LOLA, the world's most lovable -- and hilarious -- siblings, seen every day on TV's Playhouse Disney, are set to share their brand-new toys with young fans all across the country.
Kids Preferred will introduce a charming range of series-inspired plush dolls plus a handy doll case and distribute Penguin's enchanting paperback books designed to transport children to the wonderful world of CHARLIE AND LOLA, while helping to extend the fun of the standout TV show.
The new offerings will be available at retail stores nationwide this summer -- just in time for back to school Charlie and Lola style.
The beloved preschool series that stars the "small and very funny" 4-year-old Lola and her loving 7-year-old brother, Charlie, now has a new collection of goodies that perfectly mirrors the warmth and wit of the irresistible pair that each day embark on extraordinary adventures. The program follows the two as Charlie helps his independent-minded sister through everyday preschool challenges.
Lola can be rather stubborn when it comes to things like not wanting to go to bed or eat her vegetables, but Charlie always manages to come up with a creative solution to help her see a different point of view. The siblings are joined by Lotta, Marv and his dog Sizzles, plus their various friends and neighbors. Viewers accompany the duo as they travel to fantastic worlds using their amazing imaginations.
Presented by BBC Worldwide Limited and produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, the stunning series features a unique "collage" animation style and catchy background themes that capture the liveliness and tone of the books by noted British author Lauren Child on which the TV show is based.
The adorable and engaging new toy line features:
--Giggling Charlie and Giggling Lola dolls laugh in their familiar and endearing way when their bellies are pressed. Standing 8" tall, the dolls are sold separately for an SRP of $10 each.
--Talking Poseable Charlie and Lola Play Set is packaged in a reusable play scene and includes Charlie, standing 12" tall, and Lola, measuring 9.5". Kids can bend the arms and legs into any pose for hours of fun. Each character speaks their signature opening line from the book, video and TV episode: "I have this little sister, Lola. She is small and very funny," says Charlie. Responds Lola, "I'm not small. I am BIG!" The set is available for an SRP of $25.
--Sizzles the Dog, the floppy, lovable beanbag toy, loves to play with Lola -- that is when he's not chasing footballs with Charlie and Marv. Sizzles measures 8" tall and is sold for an SRP of $10.
--Lola can slip into her red and white comfy pajama top and bottom, plus cozy slippers, when it's time for bed with the Lola Pajama Set. The set includes a hanger, toothbrush -- and even toothpaste. Available for an SRP of $14.
--Dressable Talking Lola offers six different phrases when her little hand is pressed -- three for daytime and three for nighttime: "We've got to get to school before the dragons!" to "I am not sleepy and I will not go to bed." The plush doll measures 16" tall and features a removable dress and shoes for a change from daytime to bedtime. Dressable Talking Lola will be offered for an SRP of $30.
--Dressable Lola Doll Case perfectly holds any of the Lola dolls and accessories. The case features clothing hanger, drawer and a bedroom play scene measuring 16.5" tall. It is available for an SRP of $28.
Kids Preferred also distributes Penguin's series of CHARLIE AND LOLA paperback and sticker and activity books to keep the fun going strong.

The Children's Apparel Network has made available clothing featuring the "dynamic duo," while Warner Home Video offers a series of CHARLIE AND LOLA DVDs, so kids and families can enjoy the fun of the TV series anytime whenever they wish.
In the U.S., children and families can tune in to the show on weekdays at 10 a.m. and weekends at 11:30 a.m. on Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney preschool programming block.
