CharacterShop To 'Open' 2004 British Animation Awards

The CharacterShop has been commissioned to produce the opening film for the 2004 British Animation Awards, which will take place at the Shaw Theatre in London on March 19, 2004. The film focuses on the antics of rock-band "Slaughterhouse" made up of sheep, with a lead singer who resembles rock legend and reality TV star Ozzy Osbourne. All aspects have been created in-house at the CharacterShop, with original music composed by Richard Chester.

Producer Mark Vale said, "Were delighted to have the quality of our work acknowledged by being asked yet again to open the British Animation Awards. The film weve created for this years Awards is a unique concept and with the current renaissance of rock music certainly has the potential to be developed into a larger-scale project."

Jayne Pilling, director, British Animation Awards, added, "The CharacterShop did a fantastic job at the 2002 Awards, providing a film that got the event off to a flying start. They are the perfect choice to provide the opening film for this years Awards."
