Warner Bros. has hired Animal Logic to animate its LEGO feature, reports Variety. The studio hopes to release the animation/live-action hybrid in 2014. With Animal Logic on board, the production will receive tax incentives from the Australian federal government, as well as state incentives from New South Wales.

CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS' Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are writing and directing the family feature. ROBOT CHICKEN's Chris McKay will co-direct. Dan and Kevin Hageman, who wrote the TV series LEGO NINJAGO: MASTERS OF SPINJITZU, originally developed the feature with producers Dan Lin and Roy Lee.

Jill Wilfert, Lego's VP of licensing and entertainment, and Lin Pictures' Seanne Winslow are the co-producers.
